Terms of Service

Katharsis Software Ltd Last updated: 12 June 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EDGR, a web application and progressive web app (“the Service”) operated by Katharsis Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the Service. Continued use after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Definitions

“Activity data” means any intimate events, sessions, journal entries, notes, and associated metadata (such as timestamps, duration, and intensity) that you log using the Service.

“EDGR API” means the official programmatic interface provided by us that allows authorised third-party applications or integrations to interact with the Service on your behalf, subject to separate API terms.

“Linked accounts” means the feature of the Service that allows a subject to grant a viewer read and write access to their activity data.

“Pornographic content” means material whose dominant purpose is sexual gratification or titillation, and which is of a sexually explicit nature. This includes, without limitation: graphic written descriptions of sexual acts; images, photographs, illustrations, or other visual media depicting nudity or sexual activity; and any other content that would reasonably be described as pornographic, whether in written, visual, or any other form. This definition is interpreted consistently with the meaning given to similar content in Ofcom’s Broadcasting Code and associated guidance. Written content is expressly included.

“Progressive web app” or “PWA” means a version of the Service that can be installed on a device directly from a web browser, without requiring download from an app store, and which may support offline or home-screen functionality.

“Public profile” means the publicly accessible page associated with your account, displaying information and dashboard content that you have chosen to make public.

“Subject” means a user who sends a link request to another user, thereby initiating the process of granting that user read and write access to their activity data.

“Subscription” means a paid plan granting access to additional features of the Service for a recurring billing period.

“The Service” means the EDGR web application and progressive web app operated by Katharsis Software Ltd, accessible at edgr.app.

“Viewer” means a user who has accepted a link request from a subject and thereby received read and write access to that subject’s activity data, within the limits described in Section 6.

“We”, “us”, “our” means Katharsis Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

“You”, “your” means the individual accessing or using the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. The Service contains content and functionality intended for adults only.

By creating an account, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you are legally permitted to access adult content in your jurisdiction; and
  • the information you provide during registration is accurate.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe an eligibility requirement has not been met.

4. Account Registration

You must register for an account to use the Service. You are responsible for:

  • keeping your login credentials confidential;
  • all activity that occurs under your account; and
  • notifying us promptly at support@edgr.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their explicit consent.

5. The Service

EDGR is a personal habit-tracking and journalling application for logging and reflecting on intimate activity. The Service includes:

  • event logging of intimate events;
  • session tracking and journalling;
  • personal dashboards and statistics;
  • linked accounts, which allow one user (a “subject”) to grant another user (a “viewer”) read and write access to their activity data; and
  • public profiles, which allow you to share a view of your activity data publicly.

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

6. Linked Accounts

The Service allows you to link your account with another user’s account. The following rules apply:

As a subject (granting access): You may send a link request to another user. By sending a link request, you initiate the process of granting that user read and write access to your activity data. Once the viewer accepts your request, you explicitly consent to that viewer being able to read, add, edit, and delete your activity data as described in the Service at the time of acceptance. This access does not extend to your account settings (including email address and password) or your profile settings (including your display name, public dashboard configuration, and timezone). You may revoke a viewer’s access at any time from your account settings. Revoking access takes effect immediately.

As a viewer (receiving access): You may accept or decline a link request sent to you by a subject. You may not initiate a link request yourself. Once you accept a request, you may read, add, edit, and delete the subject’s activity data. You may not access or modify the subject’s account settings or profile settings. You must not use a subject’s data in any way they have not consented to. You must not attempt to access data beyond the scope of the access granted.

Both parties: You each remain individually responsible for your use of the Service and for any communications or agreements between you that exist outside the Service. We are not a party to those arrangements and accept no responsibility for them.

Account eligibility of linked users: You must only send or accept link requests with individuals you know personally and have reasonable grounds to believe comply with these Terms, including the age eligibility requirement in Section 3. By sending or accepting a link request, you confirm that the other party is, to the best of your knowledge, at least 18 years old and in compliance with these Terms. If a linked account is found to be in breach of these Terms — including but not limited to the age eligibility requirement — we reserve the right to suspend or terminate both the linked account and your account.

7. Public Profiles

The Service allows you to create a public profile and share one or more of your dashboards with others. The following rules apply:

Profile information: You control which personal details (such as a display name, bio, age, gender, and location) are shown on your public profile. You may update or remove these at any time from your account settings.

Dashboard sharing: You may make a dashboard publicly accessible — either to anyone with the link, or via a token-protected URL that restricts access to those you share the link with. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to make publicly accessible.

Content restrictions: Your public profile and any publicly shared dashboards must not contain, display, or reference:

  • pornographic content (as defined in Section 2);
  • nudity or sexually explicit content in your profile picture;
  • content that sexualises, degrades, or harms any other person;
  • content that identifies or discloses personal information about another individual without their consent; or
  • content that is otherwise unlawful, abusive, or in breach of any applicable law.

These restrictions apply to all parts of your public profile, including your display name, bio, and any written content visible on shared dashboards.

We reserve the right to disable any public profile content that violates these restrictions without notice. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Revoking public access: You may disable your public profile or remove public dashboard links at any time from your account settings. Disabling takes effect immediately.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service if you are under 18 years old;
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any other user’s account or data;
  • use the Service to harass, coerce, or harm any other person;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service;
  • use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our written permission — this does not apply to use of the official EDGR API, which is governed by its own terms;
  • submit data that is excessive, fabricated, or disproportionate to genuine personal use;
  • introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code; or
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these rules.

9. Subscription and Paid Features

The Service is available on both a free tier and paid subscription tiers. Details of what is included in each tier are described within the Service.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the chosen billing period. Unless otherwise stated:

  • subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period;
  • you may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; and
  • we do not offer refunds for unused portions of a billing period except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Where a price increase affects your existing subscription, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect.

10. Data and Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

Your activity data belongs to you. You may export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

11. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service (including its design, software, and content produced by us) are owned by or licensed to Katharsis Software Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights in the Service beyond the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of any content you input into the Service (including journal entries and notes). By inputting content, you grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that:

  • the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure;
  • any data stored in the Service will be free from loss or corruption; or
  • the Service will meet your requirements.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising under or in connection with these Terms (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) shall not exceed the greater of:

  • the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
  • £50.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if:

  • you breach these Terms;
  • we are required to do so by law; or
  • we discontinue the Service.

On termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 11, 12, 13, and 15) shall do so.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you have a complaint or dispute, please contact us first at support@edgr.app. We will do our best to resolve it informally before any formal proceedings are initiated.
